Our Story
Monsera began in a barber's chair.
I'm Fabio Simbula. I run Monséra Taglio d'Oro, my private barber studio in Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands. Most of what I know about grooming, I learned there — one client, one hour, one conversation at a time.
Over the years, one thing kept striking me. In the chair, a shave is a ritual: warm lather, a sharp blade, a steady hand and time that belongs to you alone. Then my clients walk out the door, and at home that ritual shrinks to a plastic cartridge, a can of foam and three rushed minutes in front of the mirror.
Monsera is my answer to that. A small collection of grooming and self-care tools that bring a little of the barber's chair into your own bathroom.
Mediterranean at heart
My roots are Italian, and I grew up with a simple idea: everyday things deserve care. In the Mediterranean, taking time for yourself isn't vanity — it's just how life is lived. Slower mornings. Things made to last. A little attention to detail, every day.
That's the feeling behind every piece we choose: warm stone, polished steel, natural materials and designs that look as good on your shelf as they feel in your hand.
How we choose
We don't chase trends, and we don't fill the shop with everything that sells. Before a tool joins the collection, it has to pass one simple test: would I use it myself, and would I recommend it to a client in my chair? If the answer is no, it doesn't make it in.
We work with carefully selected makers and suppliers, and we tell you exactly what you're buying: the materials, the sizes and how to use each piece properly.
What we believe
- Fewer, better things. One good razor instead of a drawer full of disposables.
- Honesty over hype. Our tools won't change your life. They will make a few minutes of your day calmer, sharper and more yours — and that's worth a lot.
- Rituals for everyone. Monsera is for anyone who wants to look sharp and feel good, whatever your routine looks like.
Where we're going
Monsera is still young, and we're building it step by step — from a barber's studio in Apeldoorn to bathrooms across Europe. Every order, question and piece of feedback helps shape what comes next.
